This software component is often already present in newer computers.
Which version of .NET is needed depends on your operating system (details below).
In theory the DCDT+ installer will automatically download .NET from the
Microsoft web site and install it when needed, but this doesn’t always work
correctly. Thus it is recommended that you use the Control Panel ‘uninstall
a program’ app to bring up the list of installed programs to check which (if
any) version(s) of .NET have been installed, and if needed install the
proper version based on the list below.
 | For 32-bit versions of Windows you need to install .NET
framework version 2.0, 3.0, or 3.5. Use
this link to download the installation package (dotnetfx.exe, 22.4 MB)
for version 2.0 (minimum requirement, okay with Windows 98 thru XP) or
this link to download version 3.5SP1 (for Windows XP, Vista, Windows7 or
Windows8: dotnetfx35.exe). For version 3.5SP1 the full installation file (multiple
configurations) is 237 MB, so it may be better to use this
‘bootstrap’ installer on Microsoft’s site, which downloads only those
parts you need for your OS.
| .NET version 4.0 is apparently not backward-compatible for 32-bit
Windows (or at least the
Windows installer doesn't think so). If version 4.0 is already installed
on your computer the DCDT+ installer may incorrectly try to download and
re-install version 4.0 (this is a Microsoft problem, beyond my control) so
you may have to manually download and install
.NET version 3.5SP1 and then try again to install DCDT+. |

| For 64-bit versions of Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 the program
will install and run with version 4.0 of the .NET framework, which
normally is already present. Version 4.0 can be downloaded from

SEDNTERP-related files:
As of December 2011 SEDNTERP is distributed and supported through the
Biomolecular Interaction Technologies Center (BITC) at the University of New
Hampshire (the distribution and Help files can be found
here.) SEDNTERP version 2 is available for
Windows, Macintosh, Linux, etc. The old version, 1.09 (Windows only), can
still be found here.
Note: To install SEDNTERP 1 successfully under Windows Vista you must
have administrator privileges. After downloading, you may need to right-click on
the installation .exe file and use the 'run as administrator' option to start
the installation. SEDNTERP 1 will not run in 64-bit versions of Windows Vista.
To run SEDNTERP under 64-bit versions of Windows 7 you must install the Windows
Virtual Machine and Windows XP mode, and then install SEDNTERP 1 within a
Windows XP window.

Note: To install successfully under Windows Vista or Windows 7 you
